![]() Savute Safari Lodge is build on the shore of the dry Savuti
channel, a relic water channel that was once the lifeline of
the area. Mysterious wet and dry cycles mould this landscape
and dictate the nature of its wild inhabitants. The main building
of thatch and timber, allows viewing Savute's enchanting sunsets
and on winter nights a large fireplace is equally inviting. Candle
light dinner is served in an elegant dining-room. The lodge boasts
a swimming pool and shaded viewing deck, both of which overlook
the channel, and where afternoon tea is served. Afer dinner guests
may sit around the campfire. Twelve tastefully furnished
luxury wood and thatch safari suites, in unique design with their
spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors sets the lodge
apart from typical safari accommodation. Private viewing decks
and en-suite facilities, combine luxury and comfort with a classic
wilderness experience. Daily game drives in open 4x4 safari
vehicles in the Savute area of the Chobe National Park, including
the Savute Marsh and a visit to Gubatsa Hills and ancient San
rock paintings. Savute Lodge can be reached by air charter, or
in the dry months, on challenging roads.
