At the arranged time you will be picked up at your accommodation. The journey takes you westwards over the Khomas Hochland with its hill and valley landscape. It is well known for cattle farming. Game such as kudu, oryx, springboks and steenboks are sometimes seen. After about three hours drive arrival at the great escarpment, where you have a magnificent view over the Namib. Descend down the Bosua Pass into the desert. In the afternoon reach the Blutkuppe, a granite island in the central Namib Park. Here quiver trees and other desert plants grow, you might also see oryx, ostriches and springboks. To have an impressive view of the surroundings, it is recommended to climb up the Blutkuppe. In the late afternoon arrival in Swakopmund. Dinner and overnight in one of Swakopmund's pleasant hotels. Next morning after breakfast drive to the Walvis Bay lagoon to view a variety of sea birds such as the Flamingo. On the way back to Swakopmund time to stop near the sea and enjoy the dunes. After lunch travel back to Windhoek. Arrival in Windhoek in the late afternoon.
