Day 1:
Drive from Windhoek via Dordabis - visit the oldest Karakul weavery of Namibia-, Uhlenhorst and Stampriet to the Auob Lodge. Lunch at Bitterwasser Lodge.

Day 2: Drive along the Auob river, via Koës and visit to the Kokerboom (quivertree) to Keetmanshoop, Canyon Hotel for lunch. Proceed past the Naute Dam to the Cañon Lodge.

Day 3: Visit the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world. This gigantic ravine, in places almost 500 meters deep, has been gorged out of vast undulating plains in course of thousands of years. Proceed to Lüderitz via Seeheim and Aus. This drive takes you through intriguing "moon" landscape of endless desert vistas and bizarre rock formations. Lunch at Klein Aus Vista.

Day 4: The day is spent in Lüderitz - the first German settlement in Namibia, named after the merchant Adolf Lüderitz from Bremen, who bought this area from the Hottentots in 1883. This small harbour town is perched on rugged black rock, offset by the deep blue waters of the bay, and is surrounded by bays, coves and fjords. During the morning visit to the "ghost town" of Kolmanskop where diamonds were first discovered in Namibia. Afterwards sightseeing in and around Lüderitz.

Day 5: Drive back through the restricted diamond area to Aus and the scenic Neisip plain. Lunch en route. Afterwards drive along the awesome loneliness of the "Schwarzrand" to Hammerstein Lodge. En route visit "Schloß Duwisib", a fairytale castle built by Baron von Wolf in 1908.

Day 6: In the early morning depart to an excursion to the Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, a large clay pan in the centre of the Namib desert, surrounded by the highest sand dunes in the world. Be in time for Lunch at Namib Desert Lodge. In the afternoon take part in a dune drive.

Day 7: Drive via Rehoboth to the Oanob Dam for lunch. Return to Windhoek. Arrival in the late afternoon

Day 8: Travel from Windhoek across the rolling hills of the Khomas Hochland at an altitude of more than 2000 meters above sea level, down the Gamsberg Pass into the Namib, which is the oldest desert in the world. The landscape varies frum rugged montains and rocky outcrops to sand-filled valleys and endless vistas of plains. After a short rest with lunch packs proceed through the Namib Naukluft Park, passing the water-holes Ganab and Hotsas wherer, with abit of luck, one can see ostriches, springbok, oryx and mountain zebras. Then on to the Welwitschia plain, where the Welwitschia plant, a living fossil, that is only found in the Namib and southern Angola, occurs in large numbers. Drive to the so called "Moon Valley" - a fascinating rock formation which is millions of years old. Arrival in Swakopmund at about sunset. Lunch packs en route.

Day 9: After breakfast depart to Walvis Bay for a boat cruise with champagne, fresh oysters and snacks on board. Return to Swakopmund. In the afternoon A city tour through Swakopmud and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10:
Drive via the tarred road into the interior, pass the Spitzkoppe and proceed to the beautiful Erongo mountain area. In the late afternoon sundowner drive.

Day 11: Early morning start for a three hours drive in open vehicles on the premises of the lodge. Numerous pre-historic rock-paintings will draw you into the spell of mystic Africa. Afterwards proceed for the Ugab terraces. Lunch packs en route.
Vingerklip Lodge (dinner / overnight / breakfast)
Day 12: Trip proceed to the famous Etosha National Park. First game-viewing drive.
Okaukuejo / Halali or Namutoni (full board / overnight / breakfast)
Day 13:
Full day game-viewing in the Etosha National Park, which is one of the major sanctuaries for wildlife in Africa. The area was proclaimed a game reserve as far back as 1907. The size of the park is 22 270 km2 and it consists mainly of grass and bush savannah. This type of landscape provides excellent opportunities for game viewing at the numerous waterholes or in the open countryside. The Etosha Pan which the park is named after, is approximately 6000 km2 in size. In the language of the Ovambo people, Etosha means "place of dry water" or "large white place". Lunch break in between.

Day 14:
Full day of game-viewing in the Etosha National Park.

Day 15:
After breakfast proceed via Tsumeb to the Hoba Meteorite. En route visit Lake Otjikoto and the Mine museum. Lunch packs en route. Optional visit the rare and endangered Species Trust, which is caring for the Namibia's most endangered species, the Cape Griffon Vulture.

Day 16:
Early morning game drive on the farm. return to Windhoek via Okahandja with lunch at a Restaurant. Visit the graves of the Herero chiefs and of the German Schutztruppe. Arrival in Windhoek in the late afternoon.
Departure:
Windhoek. Pick up from hotel prior to arrangement.
